Kalyani Steel has signed a memprandum of understanding (MoU) with the Odisha government to set up a manufacturing facility in Dhenkanal district, with an investment of Rs 11,750 crore. The MoU signing ceremony was presided over by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, and marks an important step for the state to become a hub for high-tech industries
The strategic collaboration between Kalyani Steel and the Odisha government entails the development of a comprehensive manufacturing complex situated at Gajamara, Dhenkanal. The project will create 10,000 job opportunities in titanium metal, aerospace, automotive components, and advanced speciality steel
The project includes a titanium metal and alloy mill, an aerospace components facility, and an integrated automotive component unit, as part of the precision manufacturing sector
The Chief Minister stated that the collaboration will harness opportunities for the state to emerge as a high-skill job creator, and will also help establish an ecosystem conducive to new-age industries
